Unfolding in the unknown.
Many of the people in my photographs are strangers, which encourages us to be vulnerable with one another. This vulnerability creates a moment of intimacy and understanding.
More than a conversation.
I consider it very important that the person I’m photographing feels comfortable and doesn’t feel like I’m taking something from them. Photography to me doesn't only mean taking a picture but also having a conversation, getting to know each other, and building a sense of trust.
In between continents.
I travel a lot by myself which invites me to set foot out of my comfort zone, to be open for encounters with others and to maintain an open view on the world. I see photography as a global language, one that is less formal and doesn't require much words.
